- In theory, a body spacer boosts the horsepower of your Pentastar 3.6L engine by +2 HP to +6 HP (many dynamometers demonstrate the gain is real). More HP means more torque (add 8 lbs. to 14 lbs.). And it reduces the throttle response a bit (don't trust those Wrangler JK owners pretending it's like night and day, it's only a very minor improvement) because the additional air velocity eliminates a small pourcentage (like -5%) of the usual and normal lag when you change gear and press the gas pedal again (manual transmission). But the real improvement is the sound of your engine. The high-velocity air tornado gives more low-end punch while the accelerated airflow makes a delicious noise. No other rig you may encounter in the bush has that particular agressive and tough whislting. And other Jeepers will notice from distance that you mean business.
This silver throttle body spacer (looks like chrome in the engine compartment) from AFE Power is heavy duty, affordable (normally sold for less than $125) and does the job. Full disclosure : I personally have the Red Airaid Poweraid Body Spacer, which is considered to be of better quality. But the silver bullet from AFE looks better and does the same job. It's made of 6061-T6 billet aluminum and is designed to perfectly fit the need of the combustion chambre of your Wranger JK or Unlimited. It's also legal to install it everywhere in Canada and USA.
Color : it's not actually "chrome" but "silver" or kind of grey. But it looks awesome. You only have to remove 4 screws to install it in between the engine air intake and the cool air intake tube.

You can expect this silver bullet body spacer to produce more horsepower and torque (because its serrated/helix component creates turbulences that help the air/fuel combination to charge and burn in a more efficient way), increase throttle response, never corrode, and creates an exciting whistle whenever you shift gears.
