You can install it in seconds using the long velcro tabs. I recommend you use scissors to cut/trim the extra so you can save some weight (it's only grams and I know it may sound crazy but I strongly believe in the benefits of reducing the weight of a Jeep Wrangler). The length of those velcro straps is way too long.

The holder is also equipped with a lower ring support that you can used for better retention. Don't worry about that, you fire extinguisher will stay in place on the roughest trails.

I recommend you mount it passenger's side (rear) because I find it easier to jump over the armrest and reach it from the inside compared to having it behind my shoulders. But it's a personal choice.
